A story of 8 passionate and adventurous tourism students analyzing the MICE Tourism potential of a young but growing city under the motto \u00abNursultan - Where Business meets Nature\u00bb.<\/p>\n

In the middle of the Great Steppe, the city Nursultan (formerly known as Astana) was built up from scratch in just 20 years to become a worthy capital for Kazakhstan as well as an internationally known commercial business hotspot. With its location between Europe and Asia it is the heart of Eurasia and a center for religions, politics and economy. Recognizing this USP, Kazakhstan wants to place its capital on the world map as the new \u00abplace to be\u00bb for MICE Tourism.<\/p>\n

Within the context of the module \u00abProject Management in Practice\u00bb and thereby the project Study Week Kazakhstan, we had the unique chance to get to know an extraordinary destination from a touristic as well as from a business perspective. With this knowledge we were able to understand what it means to be a MICE destination and which requirements this entails.<\/p>\n
